Oregon Dunes!

Oregon has a lot of dunes. They are good places to enjoy riding on quad. Let's check it out!!

Oregon Dunes KOA Kampground & RV Park
4135 Coast Hwy.North Bend, OR

This is a great place to stop and camp.  Dune access just a short ride, and there are several places along the trail to rent ORV's if needed!
Foredunes; South Jetty Road
Highway 101 leads south across the Siuslaw River Bridge. Less than a mile from the bridge, South Jetty Road runs west to the foredune area. This is a popular place for off-road vehicles (ORV), and windsurfers are fond of testing the winds off the south jetty.
Sandland Adventures  (see map)
85366 Highway 101 Florence OR

Two miles south of the Siuslaw bridge, Sandland offers four-wheel ORV rentals, or a guide will take you on a tour of the dunes. You'll find other amusements here, including bumper boats, go-carts, and miniature golf.
Jessie Honeyman State Park  (see map)
84505 Hwy 101 S Florence OR
Open year-round, this 522-acre park includes three lakes: Woahink (on the east side of the highway), Cleawox, and Lilly. There is a large year-round camping operation, suitable for tents, trailers and RVs, and it includes several yurts. Day-use facilities are based on Cleawox lake, including rental boats, a store, picnic areas and swimming beaches. A trail around this lake is wheelchair accessible. There are boat ramps, as well as picnic areas and swimming at Woahink Lake.
Sand Dunes Frontier  (see map)
83960 Highway 101 Florence OR
This is another commercial "theme park," offering open-air bus tours of the dunes, dune buggy rides, and ORV rentals. Also included are miniature golf, a shooting gallery, a nature trail, and the usual refreshment stand.
Siltcoos Recreation Area  (see map)
P O Box 36 Florence OR
This is part of the national recreation area. On the east side of the highway, you'll find hiking trails leading to Siltcoos Lake. There are six walk-in campsites beside the lake. On the west side, the road runs past four campgrounds: Lagoon, Waxmyrtle, Lodgepole, and Driftwood. This is off-road vehicle country and the campgrounds are popular with the dune buggy crowd, but there are dune trails where only walkers are allowed. The road comes to an end near the beach.
Carter Lake Campground
This is another Oregon Dunes NRA campground, more primitive than the state park campgrounds, but suitable for cars and RVs. As with the other NRA campgrounds, this one has trails leading through the dunes. Many people just take off on their own cross-country explorations.
William M. Tugman State ParkLocated on Eel Lake, the park offers a developed campground, including sites for tents, RVs, and trailers (up to 50 feet). There is also a hiker-biker campground. This is a handy place to stay. As no reservations are taken, the park often has spaces when other RV parks do not. There is a fishing dock, accessible to wheelchairs.
North Eel Creek CampgroundBack in the Oregon Dunes NRA, this large campground has sites for tents and RVs. This is an excellent place to walk over miles and miles of dunes, which stretch as far as the eye can see.
Spinreel Campground  (see map)
9122 WILDWOOD DR North Bend OR

This Oregon Dunes NRA campground provides access to Tenmile Creek, and is a favorite of dune buggy drivers. This is another area open to off-road vehicles.
Horsfall Dunes and BeachThis is the most southerly area in the Oregon dunes. Access to a huge dunes area and a beach is via Horsfall Road, which passes three recreation area campgrounds, ending at a beach parking lot. The first campground along the access road is Horsfall, designated for ORV people. Bluebill is the next campground, a small, quieter facility. The third is Wild Mare Horse Camp, with a corral at each of the campsites. People without horses are also welcomed. You can also camp in the parking lot, at the beach.
Coos Bay - North Spit
Three unmaintained, four-wheel drive sand roads are open to the public: the Bay Access Road, the South Dike Road, and the Foredune Road. The Foredune Road parallels the beach, and has three beach access points for street legal vehicles only ( Oregon State Law). Be aware itfs easy to get stuck, and towing is expensive. Off-roaders in quads and three-wheelers should use the Oregon Dunes National Recreational Area, just north of the spit.
